Basic Educational Services Team (BEST) is a world-class tutorial services organization with years of experience working with students of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and needs. We provide tutorial services in math and language arts for students in grades kindergarten through 12. We currently work with more than 45 school districts in six different Southern California counties. Over the past few years, BEST has provided over 280,000 hours of tutoring services to over 20,000 students.

Our one-on-one tutoring services use only credentialed teachers. They speak a variety of languages, to assure that this quality service reaches as many students as possible.

Under the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001, President George W. Bush created the framework to ensure that eligible children would be given the opportunity to obtain supplemental educational services.

We gather educational background information on each student and administer a comprehensive assessment prior to developing a Student Learning Plan. The learning plan pinpoints trouble areas and helps to guide the tutoring sessions. Tutors conduct all sessions one-on-one in the child's home, a library or community center. Our unique approach and assessment allow for students to gain understanding of the subject area as well as new confidence in their school work. All material is aligned with the California State Standards.
