Skill Development

Each student masters skills in his or her own unique way, on different levels and timetables. With the creation of the Student Learning Plan, specific areas are identified and addressed at each session. The master of basic skills in language arts, reading and math is accomplished through individualized attention and instruction in the specific areas of concern. A benefit of one-on-one tutoring is that it allows the sessions to be modified if the student is having difficulty understanding and grasping a concept. Tutors are able to explain and review the concepts until the student fully comprehends all aspects of the subject matter. Additional worksheets, activities, etc. are provided as a way to help the student master the concepts even further.
